I got a glimpse of the Eastenders set!
A good few years ago but I thought I'd put it on my blog.
Some years ago, I went to a job in Borehamwood whilst working for a major retailer/manufacturer.
During my visit, the customer told me that they often had complete strangers knocking on their door wishing to get a view of the BBC Eastenders set which backed on to their front garden.
On completing the repair, the customer let me take a photo of the view from the upstairs window, of the Eastenders set. Here's the Queen Vic in Albert Square! You can clearly see that the facing houses are just a shell!
Interestingly, the customer and his neighbours receive notifications from the BBC set in advance of any upcoming 'incidents' where noise, explosions etc are due to be filmed, so they are not alarmed, and I saw a few of these letters, with the Eastenders logo, during my visit to the house.
The photo was taken on an old mobile so the quality isn't great but I came across it looking through some old files on a hard drive so seeing as it's vaguely appliance-related, I thought I'd add it to the blog.
