Bosch/Neff/Siemens Dishwasher E:15 faults
The manufacturer has released a repair set for its Polinox base tub leaks.
The B/S/H group (Bosch Neff Siemens) have released a repair set for a fault which causes many of the plastic based dishwashers to leak into the base of the appliance. (I was the official local Bosch/Siemens/Neff engineer for Hemel Hempstead and St Albans areas some years back, and have seen this fault on numerous occasions.) The dishwasher can bow at the side and rear, and cause the steel sides of the dishwasher to separate from the grey plastic base, which can allow water to breach the seals and leak into the base of the machine. When the water enters the base of the machine where the motor and other electrical components reside, a polystyrene float rises up and pushes on a microswitch, causing an error code E:15. Sometimes, the water can leak out of the back of the dishwasher but with no error code so could go un noticed.
The repair set comprises a set of seals and two metal support braces which reduce bowing of the sides of the steel tank, and seals the gap. It also comes with a replacement lower spray arm which has slightly different spray characteristics.
The following is an explanation of the steps involved in fitting the manufacturer's repair set. The whole job takes around 30 minutes to complete.
We offer a quick and convenient repair service for this kind of leak and carry the necessary repair sets on the van.
